yo man I've heard about this and if I were in college (again) or had an employer that rejected my paper/report thinking it's plagiarism I'd tell them the fuck off if I wrote myself. I'll go see the fucking college dean, I've done that before when a professor accused me (and most the class) of cheating and plagiarism (that's a whole other long story). That's why you include a detailed works cited and you can answer questions in detail if you wrote it. If you're writing fiction or poetry if it's authentic you can defend it. Teachers were mostly oblivious to plagiarism years ago unless they were familiar with the work or just happened to have the sources cited. Now they use AI to detect AI and that AI is usually wrong. AI only knows what humans know and since it learned everything from humans, including how to write like a human, it gets confused and assumes a written work was done by AI.
