I feel like death but with coffee it's a silly deathly feeling.

The Edmund Fitzgerald sinks in Lake Superior November 10th, 1975. But, the conspiracy theories have not been sunk. Been seeing people complain of YouTube videos being pulled and throwing allegations the families had something to do with that. I've done my own research, most of it in 2011-12. Supposedly the families were paid off for silence, as people have gone to them for interviews get the door slammed in face. What's interesting to note that this incident occurred 49 years ago. The youngest children at the time are now in their 50s, the youngest spouses in their 70s. The executives and lawyers that created the hush money scheme are probably all dead by now. And all that for an incident that probably wasn't anyone's fault.

The EF was the last major shipwreck on any of the Great Lakes, the last commercial vessel sinking. The only other major incident would be a USCG vessel sinking on Lake Ontario in 1977. Most likely what happened to EF was being caught in storm in a spot in the lake so overpowering it couldn't handle it. It was just bad timing. It was also over a shoal, so it was closer to bottom than other places. It had a list prior to wrecking, that might have contributed to navigation and steering issues. The cause of the list remains unknown. It may not have been taking on water and may not have been from hatch leakings, it could have been a shift in the cargo or bilge water pump may have failed.

I have a few books on the subject and other Great Lakes wrecks and a book on the lake books themselves. I've watched many documentaries, read other articles, and collected materials from libraries such as the New York Times articles and the official first USCG report, which they, many years later, revised. The Canadian government has made it all but completely impossible to dive on the wreck, it's considered an underwater grave and the families help push that policy. And because of such, some YouTube videos have been removed and some people speculate that's due to the conspiracy of the controversy..

Due to this sinking, many procedures changed which probably helped prevent anymore accidents, as like I stated before, it was the last major incident on the Great Lakes.

Sunday night movie. A good reason to not get homework done.
