A great narrative by Mark Twain. To be on the water is escape, mobility, freedom.
yo man I was kayaking this evening on a remote, and desolate, and almost quiet corner of a large lake, silence interrupted only by the occasioal train, and the less occassional car, on an even more remote highway. Where the only living critter moving faster than me was a bird dive bombing into the water or a fish splashing about. There's something about being on the water; it is more freedom than limitation. It's a flat, open surface to explore in all directions. Land has high grass, insects, holes, trees, rocks, hills, needs to be cleared, cultivated, manicured. Water has its unique challeges, but there's more freedom of movement, takes less effort. For man to ride on the water like a duck, avoiding its dangers by being on the surface and away from the dangers of land. Solitude on a lake at dusk, unbothered by the rest of the world.
Great show. Held over for a third straight year. Nope. They sure don't make pictures like that anymore.
The "lost" guitar website has a countdown clock to October 21st, 2025. There's only one page asking for your email and phone number. Hmm, I smell a phishing scam. Okay, boys, time to submit some outrageous false tips to stir the pot for fun. Sorry, I'm a cynic, but I don't trust anything these days. https://www.losttothefuture.com/
It's too bad I'm old, cold-hearted cynic now, but I'm skeptical this is all smells like a publicity stunt. However, that isn't going to stop my fun, I'm turning in false tips just to stir the pot. I might even make one out of cardboard and submit it just to screw with people.
