"When you're a ninja in a down coat at four in the afternoon." ..... Ah yes, it's the Saturday before Halloween which means Halloween is over. It occurred between 2-4pm in the church parking lot with trunk or treat. Because that's the safe way and because life is just so jam packed busy with activities there's just no other time than to observe holidays other that the Saturday afternoon prior. Unless you're a football family then there's zero time for anything else.

(If I sound cynical these are just observations and excuses I've picked up from others over the last 15 years.)

NEW: security image of possible Louvre suspects

This Louvre theft and incompetent response is madness. They don't have the security systems in place to protect these priceless treasures? I thought Europe was up on it's cameras and AI tech and guards. Also, it was pointed out how the EU's borderless society may have helped the thieves flee France. Either it's gross incompetence since it's been 4 days since the incident or it was inside job and in either case it will be used as an excuse for more AI surveillance in the museum and all over the country. I saw an infographic the day after the incident which went into great detail. I thought that was odd how they knew all those details and now they can't catch them? Used to have this on cassette and took it everywhere with my walkman, back in the days before I had a car. But that was in a whole other millinium.

13 years later it's still a problem. Movies started off squarish, the got horizontal. TV started off roundish then squarish then got horizontal. In between times movies on TV had their ends chopped off or they did zoom pan and scan, which sucked. Then they did wide screen editions which left black bars on top and bottom. The picture was a bit smaller, but at least you could see the whole frame of every movie. But, then when screens got wider old TV shows, that were squarish, were stretched out of proportion across the screen. To "correct" that many old TV shows are zoomed in and cut off the top and bottom of the frames. The incompetence is just astounding. They invent this technology but they don't know how to properly adapt it. Backwards compatibility is just not a thing. Of course there are some people who want their shows stretched out of proportion or the frames cropped just so long as it fills the screen ("NO BLACK BARS!") and they don't see anything wrong with that. I hope if any vertical videos used in court that it's pointed out that the person was an IDIOT for videoing in the vertical instead of horizontal therefore all the detail is lost.
