Summer travel ideas. With gas prices so high just jump on one of these. The railroad just leaves them laying around. No big deal. Right?
I swear, the AI software is screwing around with my bank statements.
Space is at a premium. (See my rant below.) ~4 hours ago I cleaned up my laptop and went from 4GB to 52GB of free space. I checked back after a couple other tidying up tasks and finished with 52.2GB free. Now, after spending about 1 hour on Facebook I closed that, went back to my C: drive and see I'm now at 51.7GB free. Where did that 0.5GB go? What's gobbling up my memory? Some upside down turkey, that's what!
If you want to gripe about AI and technology and how it sucks, the problems with AI slop come from the same industry that has:
1) reduced the storage memory size on laptops
2) removed the CD drive from laptops
3) reduced RAM and other processing power on laptops and still advertises them as "gaming" laptops
4) reduced the number of ports on laptops so you can't plug into older tech anymore like monitors
5) pushes out updates that destroy key functionality on laptops (I could go at length how this has happened to me several times)
And because of the above we now have to buy:
1) an external CD drive
2) the software subscription to watch DVDs and media
3) an external drive to store all our created content (photos, memes, documents, memes, spreadsheets, memes, MEMES, MEMES!! SMDH! LOL!)
4) and being the bitter clinger that I am, I've held onto to old mice and keyboards until they fall apart, years, and years and year, and when it finally fails I go buy a new one and the new ones fail in 6 months
Our off the shelf computers are reduced in ability so that we have to buy the extra features, buy the subscriptions to support those features, buy hardware adapters to support our current older hardware, and we still can't get anything done efficiently or cost effectively. 🙄 😤
So true. No wonder it was Oscar nominated and it should have won, too.
Good morning, America, it's Friday! The "unluckiest" and "worst" day of the week, once upon a time...
Here's a visual list of Semiquincentennial locomotives celebrating 250. BNSF just released theirs today so it's not on this list. https://www.thedieselshop.us/Semiquincentennial.HTML
yo man It was a "science experiment" and it didn't go well at all.
