In the city, yes, where the outskirts USED to be. In my small hometown, no, the boundaries have stayed exactly the same, but I can tell which buildings were aafter 1990.

6 pastors had secret meeting with feds in TN to discuss preparing congregations for UFO alien invasion, or something

We are probably on the verge of an Isaac Asimov sci-fi becoming reality. We're not there yet, but it's very close. Several things have to happen and come together first:
🔸
1. A.I. - Artificial Intelligence. This we have. A.I. is better than you or any human at singular task.
🔸
2. A.G.I. - Artificial General Intelligence. This will be better than any single one human. The most brilliant human can't compete with A.G.I. (for long).
🔸
3. A.S.I. - Artificial Super Intelligence. This will be smarter than all human minds combined. Probably smarter than all humans that ever lived combined. Then take that times 100 Earths, maybe 1000 Earths of humans all at once.
🔸
4. Autonomous Robots. Right now robots are very good at movement, the programming and physical engineering is the best it's ever been. But when they merge that with an AI then AGI and ASI: look out! Robots are currently very dexterous, agile, rugged, and robust. Battery life is a concern, but not for long.
🔸
5. Quantum Computing. As Dr. Michio Kaku described it, a regular computer explores a maze puzzle systematically. A quantum computer can solve the most complex maze puzzle instantly because it explores the entire thing all at once. It can be everywhere at the same time. It observes, processes, analyzes, decides, and acts on it's solution instantly. But any of the AIs with quantum computer and put that in a robot.
🔸
6. Central computer. In the Asimov universe there was Multivac. In Arthur C. Clarke's universe there's HAL 9000. In Batman The Animated Series it was H.A.R.D.A.C. These are stationary computers, but very big, very powerful, and they control things, almost everything. What is the equivalent of a Multivac? Data Centers. Those things are going up everywhere. But that's the thing, they're everywhere. What comes after a Data Center? Master Data Center (MDC). MDCs will control things regionally, but think larger: Ultra Master Data Center (UMDC) or just a UDC. But there will be at least two, because "First rule in government spending: why build one when you can have two at twice the price? Only, this one can be kept secret." -Contact, 1997. You have to have a back up. Remember 2001, HAL was in charge of the Discovery One, but it's original stayed in Urbana, IL.
🔸
7. Connectivity. Connect everything together, via WiFi, Bluetooth, cell signal, radio, satellite. Robots that are bipedal, quadrupedal, wheeled, tracked wheeled, flying drone, submersible, and amphibious. All linked together to the Multivac. Everything the robots see, hear, experience, they all learn, and the UDC knows. If they become disconnected they run autonomously until they reestablish contact.
🔸
8. But before there are robots.... Think about those Flock cams and mics installed everywhere aggressively in the last few years. All that data is not just a policing tool, the corporation feeds all that information to it's AI powered data center(s), keeping a record of human activity on file forever. The Multivac, for now, has stationary eyes and ears. It no longer needs the internet to learn about the world, it's learning in real time. The data centers are Multivac, the surveillance tools being sold to government are legal loopholes to install the eyes and ears and get paid to do it.
🔸
Today it's stationary static tools. Tomorrow it's the drones. Next day will be the robots. 🤖 💀
.
(I couldn't find a good Multivac illustration, so I went with Batman's H.A.R.D.A.C. which looks way cooler than anything anyway.)

yo man P.S.: I write this not so much for my own prediction, I forgot to mention that there are so events out there that are connected but most people fail to see any connection in anything. They don't see the mosaic because they look at one tile at a time. If you say step back and look at the whole picture you get scoffed at, laughed at, called a clown. As taught in the Army: attention to detail, situational awareness, complacency kills, and teamwork is key. If the dystopian future predictions to come to fruition, all the better. But, realize, there are people that want to make that happen and will stop at nothing to do it.
